Conversations with Stones

In collaboration with Phil Dadson. Performed as part of the Australasian Computer Music conference, in, July 7 2011.

Conversations with Stones was an analogue / digital conversation between the artists, centred around the sonic and visual properties of song stones – acoustically tuned rocks. The piece was literally a trans-modal dialogue between the artists as explored though physical, acoustic and digital media. The use of an iPad in this work as an instrument parallel to the stones has given rise to  a subsequent work currently in development – Conversations with Phones – a six person,  iPhone performance.
